Wreathes Awarded for... RESPECT

Wreathes Awarded for ... RESPECT
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with Copyright)

Wreathes
of
varied
Rings--

branches/flowers
but
never thorns,

Bestowed
as a Honor.

A Semblance
of  Respect.

Entwined
in
Love;

Awarded
to
Protect

Dignity--

Each one's.

In retrospect...
E n u n c i a t e d,

Spelled out
Purposefully.
(by our Lady Queen Bee)

Yet...

Can we Define it--

Universally,

Since

RESPECT

Begets

RESPECT?

Can We...

R........React Responsibly; 'Man-up' to Accountability
E......Emanate Efficiency; Obliterate non-consistency
S.....Shower Sincere Sympathy and Lenitive Empathy
P................Permeate Patience--a Blockade to Hatred
E............Eradicate Envy by Uplifting Encouragement
C.......Create Comfort by Banishing Discouragement
T...................Tame our Tempers with Loving Embers

Thus

#Fear Fleshed Out

#FEAR FLESHED OUT
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Perched
on this precipice

ascending
rapidly

from
blackened
ashes

molded,

into
a
solid
craggy

Mountain

High

above the ocean,

the speed of which

stripped
me
bare

of robe--

nearly
peeled
back

my onion skin.

I climbed this mount
turned mountain.

Took
the steep steps
of
"can't"

"ain't good enough"--

often repeated

snide,
wicked,
constant,

projecting
me

higher and higher;

past
any
silver linings.

*

First I floated
on a lake of crystal clear
rippled waters,

which

Could

quench my thirsty soul.

Then
Drown
I
almost
did

bobbing and thrashing,

frantic

on the
agitated waves

of cannonball
performers.

*

I
Permitted
a drift;

so why glance
for a sail?

(Do I really
desire
Salvation?

What
exactly

Is this place
called
Hell?)

*

I
took
the steps

escaping the whirling
whispers--

sudden
blessed efforts
to inspire.

Poignant
sweet
musings

that

plucked at my core;

mimicked stroked strings
of the harp

to pacify

my
bleating
heart.

And

Yes,

Light

seeped through

semi-slanted,

dusty

blinds;

Truly

sprouted

blossoms

on this crusty soiled floor.

Though,

across
windows
(double-paned)

in flight free
and easy,

birds in abundance,

More
Beautiful
appeared;

their varied sounds

garbled.

Their melodies unclear.

*

I climbed those steps
way above those birds;
Above that ocean.

I climbed higher
even when

my legs grew heavy
in the exertion.

Now?

I lie--cold and frozen.

Now?

I will shut
my tired eyes,

just a tiny while

Dozing....

till--

THE END.

Bare Bones of #Fear

Bare Bones
of
#Fear
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

I
stand
NAKED
and Alone--

by Choice.

What I carry
I carry
Inside.

You
can't know;

So you can't take....

Can you?

Then I want
NOTHING!

THERE!

NOTHING

For you
To
TAKE!

Is
there?

Then...
I'll lie down.

Then...

I'll...
CLOSE my eyes.

So...There!--

Is
NOTHING

LEFT.

*

THE END.

To #Adversity I Replied

To #Adversity I Replied
By Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

To Adversity I replied:

"I won't stop breathing!

Won't
lie down and die!"

No shameful cry:
"Uncle!"

though, you demand
with fingers
snarled in my hair,

Both hands
entwined,

mashing my face in sand.

In Pit and Mire--
more aptly described.

Your goal
again
new

for me to expire.

"I won't stop breathing!"
to Adversity I replied,

When
you demand
I lie down and die!

"Ludicrous!" you deny...
"Pit and mire?"

"Okay!

Demand--insidiously
implied." ... You in effect,
maligning my senses.

I didn't stammer: "I'm still conscious;

not totally senseless!"

Crushed;
suppressed--

my Smile?

"No!"

Though, I've been burned.

You

Aware,

Knowing

even lips chapped

Upturned,

however cracked and bleeding,

can elicit

much More

than
a spurn.

But,

turn or roll me over

someone special.
Please!

Appease with these:

Soft face,

hand too,

extended,

stretching to ease.

My eyes moistened by pain,

still notes

the slight tilt of your lids--
your eyes,

when in compassion

crinkles.

Lifts

my soul to the highs!

Smile! Do Smile!

Therein lies:

expressed
hope
magnanimous!

A heart
open,
warm
and generous!

My chance to defy

again

To Adversity--

with
help
to reply:

"I didn't stop breathing
when you

commanded:

"Die!"

I Am 'Just Saying'...

I Am
'Just Saying'

By Seah Greenhorn
(with copyright)

What you do
Does
affect us.

If you dress
totally 'sexy'

or bare it all;

but he can't find you

or give
you
a call;

What exactly do you think
he's gonna do?

Read a book?
Call his guy friend?

Jump in his car
just to give it a spin?

Or will he prowl the streets
With a itch in hand

Looking for
a willing/unwilling
#victim

to supply #on-demand?

Come on girls...
Give us a break.

If you 'rev' them up
but don't participate

you're an accomplice
to #malice
against your 'fella' mate.

Don't take this
as an opportunity
"to #fling
some 'hate.'"

We just want to curb
this violence

that 'Too #Sexy'

perpetuates

against

sisters,

daughters,

even mothers.

Think about us

just trying
to navigate

these daily streets,
among all this
female hate.

We too need to
carve out
a living

for our
families
sake.

A little
less
flesh,

Please.

Or for
Us

it's

Too Late.

I Am
'Just Saying.'

To Live Nutritionally or To Die Deliciously?

To Live Nutritionally or To Die Deliciously?

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

"Ah!

To
Die

Deliciously!"

Many

Happily

Chose.

As if
Any
Nutrition

Whatsoever

would
Compromise

their

Joy

In Living.

All

Flavor
or
Color

in the World

they would

Distastefully

Lose.

Sadly,

Ignorance

through
Microwaved
Gratification

Leads
to

'No taste'

for

Savory
Education.

Mass
Quantities

of

'Fast food'

Gobbled down

Senseless

Stifles

Developing/Enhancing

our

Created

Senses

for

Banquets
Carefully
Prepared

And

Even
Delicacies

Internationally

Shared.

It

Dulls and Weighs
Down

a Lively
Imagination

and

It

Kills

Energetic
Sensations

Stimulating

A
Natural and Healthy

Desire

for a Long and Lovely
Life

of
Timeless

Duration.

A diet of
only
'Fast food'

While
Excitedly
'Tasty'

Only

Clogs the arteries.

Promotes

A
Death

Hasty.
