Volcanic Eruption

Volcanic Eruption (contest: I Love Tankas)

flashes blazing red
blackness plus sparks spread
anger consumed head
fed insults seething heeded
where hatred's bred; blood's soon shed.

Leahs's Eyes

Leah's Eyes

I.

Unloved as heat on a desert plain
Upon my breast no favor claimed
As in a tent cuddled she cooed
Her beauty my position shooed
As chaff on a swirling twirling wind.
My lot as second commences. Ends.

II.

In the twilight of our lives
Forgotten deceitful lies that hid
Lack of luster of my eyes
As mandrakes shared as bitter hire
Multiplied our joyful progeny joined
As priests and kings compatible sired.

III.

Love flamed in time precedes then mellows
And hatred felt can then too settle
Into breezes cooling heated tongues
As envy turned pleasant over years begun
And children raised under nurturing suns
Calmed blood of sister in marriage once shunned.

Kindness . . . Undeserved?

Kindness . . . Undeserved? (2nd draft)

Kindnesses grand:
extended a hand,
with or without pleading
or a silent or constant weeping
in humbling demand

from a stranger,

be it financial, physical or mental
lent; but, most expectedly
from a loving mate, or loyal friend.

Kindnesses small:
a smile big, even a tiny grin,
thank-you's, encouragement to help someone begin
a task to them arduous:

"Like apples of gold in silver carvings
Is a word spoken at the right time." Proverbs 25:11.

On gifts like these
our magnificent world daily
can a gentleness spin

upon all.

Not dependent upon social status, popularity,
or shades of color: ones' skin.

We're in it together.
Humanity.
Whether beating down a wall
thick or thin.

"For there is no righteous man on earth
who always does good
and never sins." Eccl. 7:20.

Why a ransom was made by a benevolent
Creator: His Son, the Beloved. The Lamb.

Not broken, a limb,
as prophesied: "He is guarding all his bones;
Not one of them has been broken." Ps. 34:20.

In Jesus fulfilled: "But on coming to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead, so they did not break his legs."

"In fact, these things took place for the scripture to be fulfilled: “Not a bone of his will be broken.”

And again, a different scripture says: “They will look to the one whom they pierced.” John 19:33, 36, 37.

Therefore,
"By this undeserved kindness
you have been saved
through faith,

and this is not of your own doing;

rather, it is God’s gift." Eph. 2:8.

"That is why it is through faith,

so that it might be according to undeserved kindness,

in order for the promise to be sure to all his offspring,... to those who adhere to the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all." Romans 4:16.

Eternal Life
in heaven for a "little flock"

on an earth cleansed
for the "other sheep"
and resurrected ones:

"But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise,

and in these righteousness is to dwell." 2 Peter 3:13.

Whom The Master
through Christ

does
in extreme
loving-kindness
and generosity

call:

"No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him, and I will resurrect him on the last day." John 6:44*.

The above-spoken words of Jesus
one may in memory
vaguely
recall.

So then,

"Let us, then, approach the throne of undeserved kindness with freeness of speech, so that we may receive mercy and find undeserved kindness to help us at the right time." Hebrews 4:16.

For,
"The sacrifices pleasing to God are a broken spirit;
A heart broken and crushed, O God, you will not reject." Psalm 51:17.

Upon these awe-inspiring words
do frequently reflect:

"For this is the will of my Father,

that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life,

and I will resurrect him on the last day.” John 6:40.

"For the undeserved kindness of God has been manifested, bringing salvation to all sorts of people." Titus 2:11.

Except for these
who He does not select:

"they are ungodly men who turn the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse for brazen conduct

and who prove false to our only owner and Lord, Jesus Christ." Jude 4.

Which ones are we?

Let us become ones who use free-will wisely
walking a narrow road imperfectly correct.

“Go in through the narrow gate,

because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it;

whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it." Matthew 7: 13, 14.

Remember: Mankind will gain what Adam lost:

Eternal life lived in a paradise
with loved ones cherished
and with health amazing.

PERFECT!

You & Me

You & Me . . . A Miracle (1st draft)

You & Me

A Miracle
we proved to be.

There will always be a you
and always be a me,

as individuals
throughout an eternity.

But whether 'You'
or whether 'Me'

as persons uniquely 'we'

as at a precise
moment
we came to be

with a mom and dad
of DNA specifically
forming a 'you'
and forming a 'me'

special

even in our
adversities

not foreseeable
as in crystal ball
foretelling

falsities.

Handsome, beautiful,
short or tall,
quiet or loud
bones, big or tiny,
small

Quick-witted or not
is fine

for life, at all,
is extremely divine.

And if not
at that
connection in time

then 'you' or 'me'
would not exist
as 'you' or 'me'

as uniquely 'we'
in another's mind.

For at conception
we came to be

amazingly
'you' and 'me'

despite our imperfections
and impurities.

Desiring to be loved
and given respect

even as we live in this world
where true justice is suspect.

For Job too, in his anguish,
did neglect this type gratitude
of which King David to God
did graciously direct

after deep meditation
aiding him to reflect:

"Your eyes even saw me as an embryo;

All its parts
were written in your book

Regarding the days when they were formed,
Before any of them existed." Ps. 139:16.

Yes, Job
in his agony over problems
of which he could not correct

lamented:

“Let the day perish
on which I was born,

Also the night when someone said:
‘A man has been conceived!’" Job 3:3.*

In his tragedy
his constant negativity
understandably

needed to be refined:

"Let that day be darkness.

Let God above show no concern for it;

Let no light shine upon it.

Let the deepest darkness* reclaim it.
Let a rain cloud settle over it.

Let whatever darkens the day terrify it.
That night—let the gloom seize it;

Let it not rejoice among the days of a year,
And let it not enter among the number of the months.

Indeed! Let that night become barren;
Let no joyful cry be heard in it.

Let those who curse the day put a curse on it,

Those who are able to awaken Le·viʹa·than.

Let the stars of its twilight grow dark;
Let it wait in vain for daylight,
And let it not see the rays of dawn.

For it did not close the doors of my mother’s womb;
Nor did it hide trouble from my eyes.

Why did I not die at birth?
Why did I not perish when I came from the womb?

Why were there knees to receive me
And breasts to nurse me?

For now I would be lying down undisturbed;
I would be sleeping and at rest

With kings of the earth and their advisers,
Who built for themselves places that are now in ruins,

Or with princes who possessed gold,
Whose houses were filled with silver.

Or why was I not like a hidden miscarriage,
Like children who have never seen the light?

There even the wicked have ceased from agitation;
There the weary are at rest.

There the prisoners are at ease together;
They do not hear the voice of the one forcing them to work.

Small and great are the same there,
And the slave is set free from his master.

Why does he give light to one who is suffering
And life to those in bitter distress?

Why do they long for death, but it does not come?
They dig for it more than for hidden treasures,

Those who are rejoicing greatly,
Who are happy when they find the grave.

Why does he give light to a man who has lost his way,
Whom God has hedged in?

For in place of my food comes my sighing,
And my groaning pours out like water.

For what I have dreaded has come upon me,
And what I have feared has befallen me.

I have had no peace, no quiet, no rest,
But trouble keeps coming.” Job 3:4-26.

Then, redirected his focus
to this future prophecy
of which his heart was inclined:

"If a man dies, can he live again?

I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.

You will call, and I will answer you." Job 14:14, 15.

However, in a brief time
Jah reversed his circumstances
to a blessing of the highest degree:

"Look! We consider happy those who have endured.

You have heard of the endurance of Job
and have seen the outcome Jehovah gave,

that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful." James 5:11.

For acknowledged:

"After Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, Jehovah said to Elʹi·phaz the Teʹman·ite:

“My anger burns against you and your two companions,

for you have not spoken the truth
about me

as my servant Job has." Job 42:7.

"So Jehovah blessed the last part of Job’s life more than the beginning". Job 42:12.

So, true

individually 'me' or 'you'
may need to endure a life rooted
in abject misery or circulating misfortune
not to envied

until a future time
unseeable by 'we'

still,

"May the God who gives hope fill you with all joy and peace by your trusting in him, so that you may abound in hope with power of holy spirit." Romans 15:13.

Until accomplished this thing
now brewing into being:

"Why are the nations agitated
And the peoples muttering an empty thing?

The kings of the earth take their stand

And high officials gather together as one
Against Jehovah and against his anointed one." Ps. 2:1, 2.

'You' and 'Me'
collectively
advised to:

"Honor the son,
or God will become indignant
And you will perish from the way,
For His anger flares up quickly.

Happy are all those taking refuge in Him." Ps. 2:12.

An opportunity for safety
as a 'door of opportunity'
is open now

for even individual rulers
who've partnered with nations
against Jah's Sovereignty,

Yes, they too are counseled to flee
to Jehovah, who provides refuge

under Kingdom rule.

The Messianic Kingdom
smashing opposing nations

Will be Jah's Tool.

As said To Ezekiel,
though, let us not be fooled.

Foretold also for our day
this provision utilized in the past
will again be used

to distinguish
who'll

survive
The Great Day of Jehovah:

For, "Jehovah said to him:

“Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done in the city.” Ezekiel 9:4.

Hopefully,
'You' and 'Me'

He will select.

"With his pinions he will cover you,
And under his wings you will take refuge.

His faithfulness will be a large shield
and a protective wall." Psalm 91:4.

For 'You' and 'Me'
He Will Erect

so as made available
for us to see

A 'Tree of Life'
for an eternity!
