"What's funny is ...
by Seah Greenhorn
( Poem with copyright )
"What's funny is ... I used to believe I could understand"
feelings about 'rights.'
Lines obscured bring ire and fights against love
wasted
like a whale squirting
effective refreshing mists mellowing all in its way; then receivers pushing and debating positions
under
the spray.
Who says who's needs to go or who's fit to stay?
Let the whale decide with whom he shall play.
feelings about 'rights.'

Who says who's needs to go or who's fit to stay?
Let the whale decide with whom he shall play.
What's Funny Is...
This is a 'Quote Prompt'. You must either be inspired by or include this line in your poem. "What's funny is... I used to believe I could understand."
Any length, rhyming or non-rhyming (I always write non-rhyming myself), must be descriptive and inspire thought and feeling but subject can be anything. I know the quote is a little obscure, so let it be a challenge for you. Mark if Adult, no Erotica, no major profanity. The reader should walk away after reading your poem inspired, encouraged, or deep in thought.
Thanks all! Can't wait to read what you write!
