We Speak of Sin

We Speak of Sin

by Seah Greenhorn
(poem with copyright)

Are not our lives a tattered trust?

Consequences withstanding
men still rule mainly by lust and desires of wicked eyes.

Said of humans:

“This people approaches me with their mouth
And they honor me with their lips,

But their heart is far removed from me;

And their fear of me is based on commands of men
that they have been taught.

Therefore, I am the One
who will again do wonderful things
with this people,

With wonder upon wonder;

And the wisdom of their wise men will perish."

Yet, the Almighty who is wise and loving, true
loyal and trustworthy in all He does or will ever do
does not us despise.

In a relationship with Him
He will us cherish.

We are His children
if obedient we are despite the wounds inflicted.

Despite our scars.

He tells us to hate what is bad
and love what is good.

Why is this so often confusing
or misunderstood?

We cry for justice and equality
as we steal from Him--
His Sovereignty.

We rant and rave
insist that He us save from tyranny
from unholy war
from tragedies the whole world over.

Yet,

we continue to live just the same
in all our selfish and vile or vicious ways
wanting the honor;

non deserving of endless praise.

Is this to be always
till the end of our days?

No.

He has given his wonderful decrees
from a mouth spoken with loving ease:

"I take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today
that I have put life and death before you,

the blessing and the curse;

and you must choose life
so that you may live,

you and your descendants,

by loving Jehovah your God,
by listening to his voice,
and by sticking to him,

for he is your life
and by him you will endure."

The opposite:
eternal Death

brought through sin's disease

Need not be chosen.
Just do as one pleases.

Eventually one's end
in graves dug or vats placed
or waiting for morticians
in rooms totally freezing.

The Creator's purpose
with blood was bought

so obedience to His standards of righteous
ought not be spit upon with distaste.

We must fight to defend His name
in thankful grace,

since
He will soon
all wickedness erase.

He does not lie.
He can not die.

He will rule this earth and universal space
with or without us individually.

This is the future we all soon must face.

Choose Life

and live here Eternally
by following his guidelines to best of our degree

and supporting the likeminded to faithfully stand.
In love extend outstretched helping hands.

Then one day:

Life in perfection will be everlastingly granted
as family members once dead
will return to this land.

To All inhabitants living on a renewed earth
with plenty to eat and their own place to sleep:

Life Will Be Wonderful!
Yes, Totally Grand!

Let not sin rule
and it's sad consequences
we forever in death reap.

Nice Nasty

Nice Nasty

by Seah Greenhorn
(poem with copyright)

Nice Nasty
such a practiced game

the ultimate goal:
to drive victims insane

with words pleasant
beginning

then ending inane.

Of what benefit
to the Giver make?

Strips this one
of dignity
and class

demonstrates
their anger

as they speak
insults

brass

revealing envy
and a lack of confidence
within;

Crass.

No sense of their
true purpose

when all time
is spent

perfecting
witty meanness

causing others
to defend

against bullying
tactics

though

pretending
to befriend.

Is this the way to love
and hatred end?

Religious Freedom or Human Rights

Religious Freedom or Human Rights

by Seah Greenhorn
(poem with copyright)

Sadly,

this should not a question be:
human rights and ethics to supersede

religious edicts not conforming
to human values and country laws adorning

citizens in every land?

Especially,
since the Declaration of Human Rights dispenses this statement:

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
They are endowed with reason and conscience
and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

As the eagle projects then flies
higher than the naked eye to spy his flight
regal with majesty and pure delight

is the plight of imperfect man.

The vision is awesome,
even beautiful.

It touches the heart of loving souls.

Yet, this dream to behold
disappears. The destination

elusive

in a world grown cold.

Should not religion provide the key
to freedoms and rights?

Yes, liberty!

Depending upon which sovereignty
the leaders preach.

Not all gods are equal in the least degree.

So,

to go to battle to demand
equality; to take a stand legally

Is an individual's right to fight for.

A privilege to humanity.

But, in the end...
when under the subjection of greed and power

do we really believe that true justice will stand?

It will stand!

Unification of races and nations has already begun!

In the past, began
when individuals started within themselves
to practice love

and encouraged others to do the same.

This start became the basis or foundation for the future claim:

An end to violence and hatred!
An end to war!

An end to wicked spirits controlling the world and making us sorely need to pray:

"Please end our suffering!
Inequality... no more!"

Yes, soon will arrive that blessed day
when righteousness will then hold sway.

Until that time we keep
at personal bay

any and all
who human rights do slay.

Do not let anger have its way.
Keep peace and pursue it!

Lay down animosity and bury it!

Let a King
selected
clear the earth

of this total chaos
and complete
disarray.

The battle is Christ's
and The Almighty's.

They alone have the power
to end all injustices

and establish

True Peace and Security

to

Eternally
Stay.

Sleep In Peace

Sleep In Peace
by Seah Greenhorn
( Poem with copyright )

Maybe not
as a Madagascan sunset
day-flying moth,

but like a beautiful robin moth
or even a dull colored grease moth

drawn to flames

we question "why"
about the same:

Life then death?

Why brought into this game?

British historian Arnold Toynbee wrote
as We in united consent quote:

"FROM the moment of birth
there is the constant possibility
that a human being may die
at any moment.”

This thought brings us no glee or joyful mirth!

Added he: “And inevitably
this possibility
is going to become
an accomplished fact.”

In this past century
alone,

about 100, 000, 000 people in wars died
as tragic acts, 'including millions of innocent
men, women, and children'

making us anew sadly cry out:

"Why?"

"If a man dies,
can he live again?

I will wait all the days
of my compulsory service

Until

my relief comes.

You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands"

said Job, under utmost suffering
detailing the desire of the Creator to bring

dead ones back to life.

Reversing Adam's unforgivable sin.

Further promising:

"And the last enemy,
death,

is to be brought to nothing."

Just think what this means!

No more graves or funerals.
Just endless life and joyful blessings!

"In this mountain he will do away with the shroud
that is enveloping all the peoples
and the covering that is woven
over all the nations.
(groaning and moaning aloud)

He will swallow up death forever,

And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah
will wipe away the tears from all faces.

The reproach of his people
he will take away from all the earth,
For Jehovah himself has spoken it."

All the races, obedient and loyal,
will everlastingly benefit.

Until that time
when He calls their name

Sleep in peace, you victims,
as you feel no shame.

Wisdom Divine

Wisdom Divine

by Seah Greenhorn
( Poem with copyright )

Exists
a beauty in wisdom

seems

to travels valleys, mountains,

streams forth
to hold court
to extol the presence of kings
of new

recanting values considered old,
though,
these treasures are 'apples of gold.'

Mortal man of earthen clay,
who's seen injustice holding sway,
but sees and walks the balance beam
is praised as wise on a human scene.

Yet,
as doves ascending to endless skies, ascending higher
than our heart's eyes

Divine Wisdom

transcends
our intelligent,

though imperfect minds.

However,

it reaches down to touch the souls
who search for it; cherish it. Live it: bold.

These ones in understanding shall never perish if this wisdom's not in arrogant pride sold.

"What's funny is ..."

"What's funny is ...

by Seah Greenhorn
( Poem with copyright )

"What's funny is ... I used to believe I could understand"

feelings about 'rights.'

Lines obscured bring ire and fights against love

wasted

like a whale squirting
effective refreshing mists mellowing all in its way; then receivers pushing and debating positions

under
the spray.

Who says who's needs to go or who's fit to stay?

Let the whale decide with whom he shall play.

A River In Flight

A River In Flight

by Seah Greenhorn
(poem with copyright)

Rushing the edge
as a beautiful visualization
of humanity's distress.
Collective tears
gushing
constant.
The blood of her victims
dropping off into darkness.
Pounding the heart's walls in its descend.
Sprayed by the intense mist arising?
Those gathered, who care to share in this memorial.
Those not present?
Another symbolism for the river's name.
Men running away from paradise.
Is that not the desire of independent man?
Trampling
animals and nature in their lust for power.
Rendering to the world,
to the heavens
this representation of sacrifice,
the river's vibrant hue.
To dominate and crush.
Pulverize.
This beauty
a vivid reminder
of what mankind
is not designed
to do.
