"Please ... Grab Hold of the Anchor!"

"Please ... Grab Hold of the Anchor!"

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright )

You stand, sit, or lay
on sinking sand,

except
it's not quick

And a twilight descends.

The sheerness of your skin
fails to defend you against caustic elements.

No one to hold you; enfold you or even scold you for....

The cold takes control of your senses.

Your mind's eyes,
looking inward

not out,

incapable of defining any definite lines
of rational

Reasoning.
Shut down

Normal natural desires

Forsaken

as a river rises; higher; higher;
then rises higher more--
sadly

from tears of your own making.

They begin to swirl.
Capsuled you are

Pulled into the whirl without a tornado wind to spin you, at least, outward.

Instead the doubts:

deep, dark, bottomless
cesspools

filled with those sucked in before

Weighted with worries

loss of love or
sudden livelihood;

Constant heavy
loneliness;

Those who dove in:

righteous extremists;

Freedom fighters

Or those who just stepped in seeing no viable future.

And now

You

are drowning
with no apparent fight.

Please ...

"Grab Hold of the Anchor!"

Let the Light
from Truth
                             ...............lead you ashore.

Since True...

sometimes this life's seems not worth living.

Yet a "Real Life"
Our Maker purposed.

Live...for This He has in store.

No ... we are not talking heaven,

although a few selected
must die to enter that door.

But endless peace on earth
God promised.

He can not lie ... "It is impossible!"
And Everlasting He Is--

Isn't that incredible?

So when he says:
Infinite
Perfect Life

for Obedient Mankind To Be Restored ...

Isn't this worth a
"climb aboard?" from an extended hand.

(An anchor trusted for sure.)

Sincerely
Your Creator

Your Loyal and True
Loving Friend.

For These I Weep *
by
Seah Greenhorn

While

My Precious,
My Beautiful One

SLEEPS,

Shrouded

In Such Blueness,

Azure
Blueness

Of Sky;
Of Sea,

For Me? . . . .

I Weep.

*

In Memory,
My morning?

Apples; Oranges; Watermelon—

A Rainbow!

Bountiful                                          Fruitage                                       Delicious!

Till . . . .

Past FRUITS                                      SPEWED                                                 VIBRANT and VIOLENT

In Bow!

BURST
Forth
My Bounty

Over

The bow!

A Sea                                                     SO Fierce—
                                     Terrifying!!!

Through                                                    Black                                                 Moonless Night

ENDLESS

I Weep.

*

While

My Precious,
My Beautiful One

SLEEPS,

Shrouded

In Such Blueness,

Azure
Blueness

Of Sky;
Of Sea,

For Me? . . . .

I KNEEL.

*

Before

The Window                                        Veiled
Shadows, Whispers, Sighing—

My world.

My life?

Limp; Listless like
Tropical curse. . . .

Sprue?

Till . . . .

Past PROMISES,                PROCLAIMED—
Even
Reclaimed

Bubbles and Bowl me
Over!
In Joy!

BUOYS
Forth
My Heart;
                               OVERJOYED!

A Light,                                                       SO Bright—
                                Frightening!!!

Through                                                 Black
Moonless Night

ENDING?

I Weep.

Yes!
For THESE

I  Weep.

Circles

Circles

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with Copyright)

Round and round.

Amber the color
circles the rim;

twirling
memories

with a mellow sip and swirl.

Ferris wheels.

Way high to the sky.

Never coming down!

Down.

Down. . .

swaying feet
touching, not touching

unstable

dirty

tan and brown
gravelly ground.

But amber,

again she lifts me up;

takes me higher.

Higher.

Higher.

Red. Red.
Luscious red.

Yellow. Yellow.
Spinning yellow

lights.

Then hurtful ...
in purple.

I exit blue. . .

flat on my back

for a brief second
I swat at the pain;

squirm in the wetness

dripping;
slipping

cold

from my eyes; thighs.

How I lie

in the blackness

looking at
thick shoes.

Brogues.

Heels too?

Faces not amused.

I insist ...

"NOT this time. It's not booze! I'm hurt!"

The heels
pivot in spin;

click away.

In a furious wind
I heard her say:

"This time I choose."

Giggling, snickering,

I think:
"You lose!"

(Though

I suddenly

Lost--

my green money
boss.)

SLANDER

Slander
by
Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Opposers
Slander,

PURE and SIMPLE.

But
TRUTH

Endures;

Rises
Above,

Beyond!

In its

Ascent

Uncloaks

distorted
ugly
schemes--

themes

somewhat
concealed

in equally
contorted/
crippled
frames.

Their

saddened

Brains,

Always

Contriving.

Shamed,

Shameful,

they
proclaim fables

to

Disguise

their lack of
Beauty,

their

Unable-
ness.

Maybe.

LIES

Only
Blanket

their

HATRED,

which covers

the skin
of their

Envy,

Buried
Within--

A
Thin
Breathing

UNENTITLED

Shield
of
Arrogance,

This
Cultivated

Veneer,

Until

The
Bright
Light

of

Clear
Proof

Shines
Brilliantly.

Reveals

the
aged lines
of their
bitterness,

of
their anger,

of
their

DYING,

though,

Already

Dead

in their
Hearts.

Yes,

also
tragically,

Decaying

in
their

Heads.

Based on: 2 Cor. 4:4; John 12:31; 1 John 2:17; Ps. 39:1; Ps. 119:172.

An Everyday Woman's Scare ... revamped

An Everyday Woman's Scare

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

An Everyday Woman's

Fundamental
Desire
is:

To Please,

Ease the needs

of others,

which
at times,

Propells
her
 forward

Facedown

in puddles
of tears

of her own
making.

Humiliated
and
Angry,

banged up,
battered and bleeding

due
to tripping

after

Juggling

Difficult
personalities,

Jobs multi--

Never ending.

Stressed;

Uncomfortably dressed,

as calories stretched the permanent press

of dingy grey.

UNDER
duress

She prays
to hear

from familial dears:

"Thank you!"

"May I help you?"

"Let me

Relieve
You

of that...--"
Groceries.

Not the car keys

And

these
Words

Only:

Did you forget the cheese?"

as little ones hang on;
 sneeze

again and again.

"Did you bring us from school
a loathsome new disease?

Jeez!"

She rolls over;
Picks herself up;
Swipes at her eyes

as she endures

this reoccurring

Dream.

The Nightmare.

She's
squeamish

day in and day out,

Heartbroken

With
No one

Actually
There.

Her Home

Bare

of

Anyone

For whom she Can care.

Based on Proverbs chapter 31.

"FOLLOW ME!"

"#FOLLOW ME!"
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

If

a

Charismatic

or not

Someone

were to
YOU

Say:

"FOLLOW

ME!"

Would
your heart
Mellow;

your knees
Falter;

your blood
Alter--

Stream

Raging
or
Trickle
in a trail

Behind
Their
Line,

in
Sincerity?

Should

We

at least

Examine
To See

This One's

Motivations,
Desires,

Who

THEM

Inspires

To Succeed.

Are their mentor's
Goals
VALID
or
Superficial
and
Hollow?

For really

Who

Leads

He or She
Is actually

Who We'll Follow,

If

We
Agree.

So

Before

Giving our

Soul

Promptly

Away

TODAY

We
Must
Ask
Ourselves

Seriously:

"Is
This
One

REALLY

the

"BEST"

ONE

To
Lead

THE WAY?"

What will

My End

Be

ACCEPTING

This
One's:

"FOLLOW
ME"?

This is our

RIGHT!

Don't
just

Hand it Over

For

Inconsequential

Payment
or
Play.

My Prayer (For My Enemy)

My Prayer
(For My Enemy)

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

I
Received
You,

Cupped
both

heart and soul
around your

Being

as

Cafe moca,
Green tea--

Soothing,

A friend.

Though,
in time

I
soon

Tasted

Grains,

both
Burnt and Bitter

Causing

Agitation
Brewing

Discontent.

An
Enemy
now

Within.

For
envy, jealously, contention
and strife

Kills

Goodness, Patience and Love,

Kindness, Joy, and Peace.

Binds Mildness
in a choke hold;

While loosing
Self-control.

Smothers
Faith,

Which again
Leads
to

NO
"ETERNAL LIFE."

Whether

Housed

in homes
of crony or family,

living
Comfortably

In a Body

of our own,

Pray
"Remove this Enemy
to our Serenity"--

The works of flesh.

Let
Unity
Be our Goal.

To
Belong

Peacefully

PRAISING

Our Creator

for all

ETERNITY.

PRAY
for our first real enemy

to be
Bound!

Then
eventually

he and his
divisive
hateful

Subjects

permanently
and
Joyfully

Eternally

GONE!

Let this prayer

All
Earth

RESOUND!

Based on: Galatians 5:10, 12-26; 6:7-11; Rev. 12:7-12; 20:1-3; 21:5-8

Wicked Queen Athaliah...Royal Narcissis of Old

Wicked Queen Athaliah...Royal Narcissis of Old

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Extreme Arrogance

Like Toxic Rain
from
heavens

fell

from

Mother Jezebel,

An unholy terror,

to

Daughter Athaliah--
who also
knelt knee
to Baal.

(A Red River of DNA

coursing through
channels

Crooked

overflowing

Ridiculously well.)

Wicked Queen Athaliah
preferred,

Progeny
to slaughter

as country chickens
or
cackling hens,

Of course you heard,

Her Grandsons,

almost

All of them,

Her Own bloodline

Drained

for
Power of Helm.

Manipulate.
Control.

This self made
Idol,

Narcissis--

Shameful!

Distorted
Vase

To be Shelved.

Since
Contains

No Love to Dispense.

No Glory to Extend.

Warm-hearted Souls,
thought she,

Sins
to
End.

A
Brotherhood
International

NO GOAL TO DEFEND.

'Weak'
'Cowardly'

Called those

Not in 'Bow'
at her self-proclaimed

Hour.

To this
Fragile

idol

Expected:

All
Supposed

'Inferiors'
Should cower.

Yet, this vessel--
Mortal,

Shall
themself

Crouch in a coulee
Until
Dead,

Unless she Stops

Stripping

Necessary

Nutured
Loving

Relationships
to
Shreds.

For
Obsessive
Love of Self--

Idolatry,

Is a

RIVER

BEING

BLED.

We Still Can't Redeem You Brother

We Still Can't #Redeem You #Brother

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Our eyes
cried for you!

Our minds, hearts, hands
joined

tried for you!

Our souls
passionately

died for you!

Yet,

We still can't
redeem you,
brother.

*

No man or woman imperfect
No king or queen humane

No pure/impure
simple
pauper

Can not
You

even redeem.

No words in earthly wisdom
spoken

No wealth of only one person
or of nations all

No present or ancient cure

can even redeem
our brother--

though

we lift him
when he crawls.

Our varied words
our noble actions--

unerring?

Never
enough will prove to be.

Our individual lives
decaying daily

can only
save

temporarily.

Our money
devalued in diversity

can not equal
the life
of any
human seed.

*

Stephen
Paul
John the Baptizer

Polycarp
even Socrates

Joan of Arc
Mohandas Gandhi

Martin Luther
King Jr.

Nelson Mandela--

at one point
thought
martyred too!

Truth seekers.
Great striders.

History
they shook.

Kept open our eyes
to dilemma's--

External;

Revolutionized

the world's
ideas in general,

and in the end

their
lives

they forsook.

Either

shot
stoned
poisoned

pinned

then burned at stake;

ashes
tossed
to diverse
rivers.

By whatever means--

enemies

closed their eyes,

in their
death,

after, all rights were amended;

Unfortunately,
their efforts

doomed.

*

In our basic
anxious
struggles,

Sometimes the past

we're
bound
too

forget,

as treachery increases
as morality decreases

more abundantly

we're forced
to accept

a

simple

humbling

fact

THAT

We still can't
redeem
you,

Brother.

ENIGMA

Enigma
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Like

The
Bermuda Triangle

appeared

this
pagan
story.

Snaked

hundreds of decades;

as
deadly

Nightshade,

it's
heathen
roots

Sprouting

this

Mystery--

Their Glory.

Sourced

ancient - fourth century,

from
Murky
streams

It's

Dense
Mystical
Canopy

creates

A FOG;

A forest
Maze

to tragedy.

It's name

NEVER

Sacred

written.

A

dead sea

Spread

Red

through
conflicts violent,

Embedded

then,
Embellished

In religious controversy.

This

Deviate
diverse

entangles;

mind boggles;

then offers

NO PROOF

a

triad

fallacy

configuration

trips
tricks
the intelligent.

An

alluvial

then destruction

to

SIMPLE

TRUTH.

BARNYARD BANDITS

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

#Barnyard #Bandits

Once upon a time
in a land somewhere near,

You know,…

someplace close;
between here and there,

existed a town with a restaurant—
quaint and small;

but part of a growing chain

Specializing
In

‘#Fine Dining For All.’

One day, in this story, a couple appeared.
Unexpected and unwanted,

Suddenly
something to fear.

For although, inner strife
between chefs,
still delivered

some everyday ‘fare,’

Expansion,
For some

meant

‘Accolades’
to share.

Forget what the “Owner” internationally wanted.

“It’s fine for us to …
‘Keep it tiny;
Keep it stunted.’”

“Who wants for
‘Our’ Place
to be

‘Put on the map.’

We’re not interested
in feeding

for a ‘#Tourist Trap.’”

Obviously,
they forgot

Who paid their rent.

Otherwise, they’d invest in more energy spent,
in following Explicit Menus,

Keeping to the ‘Greater Gourmet’s’ Plan

This ‘Wealthy Owner’ had placed

Solely

in Capable Hands—

His Intent for “Fine Dining”

Earth-wide
to Expand.

Yet, every day former enemies
bent
their heads together.

“Get rid of the couple”—
their earnest endeavor.

For surely, this couple were sent to spy.

To find out what hindered
this small bird to fly.

Yet, really this couple
came to town to regroup.’

Support and help the restaurant,
yes …
but mainly
to ‘recoup.’

Potential they had to help expand
this growing chain.

However, at the moment,
their health was their ‘main’

Concern

To reclaim.

Not for obstinate employees

To ‘Hunt Out’

And

‘To Maim.’

But these ‘chefs’ still conspired
among themselves,

to gather,

even in the ‘Township’

more Helpers—more elves,

to eliminate,
to put to an end

Any who could ‘flay’ or ‘roast’
a fish or a hen.

Thus, elevate,
to a Happy State.

Shut down
this barrage,

Sabotage.

This apparent ‘Owner’ Hate.

The degree to which these ‘chefs’ manipulated

Over time, took years,

to develop and cultivate it.

Phones were tapped;
Cameras installed.

Chat rooms engaged for instructions to follow.

Like ‘Barnyard Bandits.’
All shallow and hollow.

“Finally fun!”

Together they were
enemies now friends--
to share and confer.

Yet, remember how the caterpillar struggled?

How no one could help him—this ‘bug in a bubble,’

so-to-speak.

He needed himself
to develop his wings

to fly high.

His Beauty and Strength
of His Creator
Sings.

Well, this experience
This couple
felt daily—

Difficultly,

Oppression,

producing qualities

‘Stately’

to develop.

Yes, slowly;

but growth was evident.

Their enemies, thus contributed
To their necessary
‘Redevelopment.’

Now ‘Fine’

They Stand

with a focus in mind.

To follow the ancient script of ‘Management’—

Be cautious;
yet Kind.

Lead by
Example

With Love in your hearts.

The “International Owner”
Is Not Blind.

All Else,

He has in Hand.

We must just

“Do Our Part.”

KEEP FIRM

to

HIS PLAN!
